About
A one-day immersive workshop exploring the body as a source of poetry.
This is a space where movement and writing meet. Where the body speaks before words, and language emerges from sensation, rhythm, and image rather than thought alone.
Rooted in over 35 years of embodied practice and 25 years of teaching the Five Rhythms, Emma invites you into a process of listening beneath the surface. Through guided movement, improvisation, and simple writing practices, we will explore how gesture becomes language, and how language can return to the body as movement.
There is no focus on performance or perfection. No need to be a dancer or a writer. This work is about presence, curiosity, and allowing what is already within you to find form.
Throughout the day, we will move, write, witness, and be witnessed — gathering fragments, images, and sensations, shaping them into poetic expression, and dissolving them again…
